Working with Inkscape:
Saving a .svg file to an .eps file
One way to solve a bitmap problem.
If you have accidental blurs, transparencies, gradients etc and you are trying to save to an .EPS (inkscape) you will need to find them and fix it, before this will work.
Everytime you "draw" a shape or color it records each step.
This is one way to find a problem.. null
Open your file to inkscape and chose your illustration.
Under Edit: Open XML editor
and then Open Fill and Stroke and go to the CMYK tab.
Now you will have 2 boxes opened, with the illustration in the background.
On the last line in the XML box,
looks like click and open..opens a drop down list.
You should see something like Click on that (highlight), the illustration will be marked by arrows and highlighted, on the image.
On the fill and Stroke box, CMYK tab: look at the bottom part
A = 100
Blur.....[ 0.0 ]
go to the next line and repeat..
Somewhere you have a 99.9 or less or -0.0
Remember that all your colors needs to be 255. Information is in the stroke & fill tab: RGB or Wheel tab.
If you have corrected the problem:
Save file as .svg first.
Then save as "file name"
Choose .eps file.
If the file saves instantly to an eps, you have corrected the problem.
I hope this helps.
