What a Month

posted on 30th of december, 2011

December turned into quite an exciting month for me here at Dreamstime and as a photographer. First, I went Exclusive and if you've been thinking about it I highly recommend it. I am having a sale a day, minimum, since going Exclusive and when I search for my photos they are way higher up in the searches!

Second, I got my first pay out. No, I'm not going to get rich doing this but it was fun to get my first check just in time for tax season.

And finally, I bought a new camera. After using a friend' s at her studio I knew I needed a better one. But with that came another huge learning curve as I went back to my first love, Canon, from a Nikon. Some many buttons, so little time to try then all out!

All and all, December has been a good month and I look forward to the new year.

Happy 2012 everyone!

I am new here and it seems to me that this can be no more than a hobby with a few cents to be made. I hope I am wrong and please correct me if I am. The effort required to meet the rather stringent but justified standard seems to be out of all proportion in terms of the possible rewards. Do the photographers receive fair compensation and, if not, what should be done about it?
