Just a few minute ago, I recieved an e-mail from DT where my exclusivity request is accepted. I'm really proud to be exclusive with this amazing and great community. It is very nice to see a bonus for all my uploaded images.
Why did I go Exclusive with Dreamstime? Well a few months ago when I have started with stock, I have decided that I will upload my images on a few different stock agencies. So I did. From first day, DT had me because of great community and mutual support for each other. Something was just different here then on other agencies. Also I just love this simple, clear but powerful image managment system.
Two-or three days only, I did'nt have much images on other stock agencies because I have started with stock just a 7-8 months ago, but in a few days I have disabled all images and had no problem at all.
Yesterday I went exclusive, today I sold my first dragonfly image :).
Here is my sold winner:
I'm happy because dragonflies are my favorite macro subjects, and if anyone of you here love to shoot dragonflies, than you must now how hard is to get close to this little fellows, specialy with only 70mm macro lens, where I need to be pretty close to get 1:1 magnification.
I have been asking my self will I ever sold any of my dragonflies or damselflies images and when. Here is my anwser. Unfortunately it was subscription sale, but anything is better then nothing :)
Many thanks to buyer of this image.
Here are a few more dragonflies/damselflies in my portfolio.
Well this is a pleasant surprise, Dreamstime aprooved my editorial image in less then two hours. Amazing!!! I already had 15 images in queue for aprooval, but still they have aprooved this editorial amazingly quick.
I know that editorial images have a priority in reviewing, but I really didn't expect that will be that fast. Thank you Dreamstime!!!
My second goal was to bring my acceptance ratio above 50%. Since I have joined DT, my acceptance was about 33% in July, then 39% in August, 51% in September, 52% in October, up to 76% in November and 71% in December by monthly statistics, so I can say that my accept/reject ratio is improving. I can also say that I have learned a lot in a last few months here on DT and I think that I have improved my photography skills. Just today I'm going to my new 16-105mm lens, which will replace my 18-55 kit lens, and will be my walking-lens on my trips.
First I have a 100 images online milestone from today, then DT aprooved 11 images with 0 rejected(better acceptance ratio), then my acceptance ratio is finally reached 50% also from today, I have buyed myself a new lenses, again today :), and for the end of a day, I sold my first editorial image :)
