subscription sales only...

posted on 20th of march, 2012

For 2 months I have been having almost exclusively subsription sales:( It is so frustrating, really....Does it mean that it is not worth to pay more for my photos? What do you think about it?
these are the last ones (only subscriptions)

Homydesign, where to find that RPI factor?

Just take your revenue and divide it by number of images in your portfolio.

Thank you all - lets hope it will change. I know I should not complaint, but sometimes it is good just to talk:)

It is just a bad luck, next month it can be much better! It changes...

I'm having BME with good sales so far including a TIFF. So it's just a matter of what people want at the moment. Perhaps next month I'll go down and you will have great sales. Shoot, submit and don't look back.

My recent sales are only via subscription, yeah, it would be better that they are regular sale, but still I am happy that sales are coming :)

All sales are valuable, as you have more images you will get all kind of sales.

You have wonderful photos in your portfolio. I think we all go through such streaks so don't let it weigh you down. It's temporary. A portfolio like yours will balance out with credit sales down the line.

Good luck!

You should compare the RPI (royalty per image) and not the number of sales... most of the time the images that have the biggest RPIs aren the same who sell best on subscritions. More royalties = more value the image is, don't you agree?

Don't worry, a sale is a sale. Your portfolio is really beautiful!

The more lucky you are when you get a TIFF sale!

Oh Ewamewa, don't think that way! That's self defeating!! Your images are being bought by people who probably have packages and so are using their credits to purchase images. It isn't that your images are not worth more because they certainly are!! I absolutely love your portfolio and you should be proud of it. I know that sub sales are frustrating from a monetary standpoint, but a sale is a sale. don't let it get you down. *hugs*
