Taking The Final Step To My Dreams!

After taking slow and erratic steps into this wonderful world of photography and after seven years of determination I have finally decided to leave the financial comfort of my "real job" and dedicate myself in full to photography and I cannot express the wonderful free feeling that I have!!! After finally leaving a personal relationship over 2 years ago that kept my personality suppressed and having worked for others always and other peoples ideas and commands for many years too, the feeling of freedom is just amazing. Along side comes fears, responsibility and insecurities but I wash them a way with my new found future :)

Who would have ever thought seven years ago when I squealed with delight at that first 20 cents sale that I could come this far.
I think this was one of my first selling images, the actual first I have deactivated some time ago! Taken with my point and shoot on automatic and by the looks of it with a pop up flash....and I treasure it!

The breaking point for me was when I reacted to an image request on the forums and the photo that I presented for it just "took off" Since then I realized "hey there is money to be made here, not just fun"

I was always held back by time...I have been virtually a single Mum of twins boys and my daughter for years and years

(Husband not home etc...Long story not for forums) had one full time job and coached at gym clubs and dance clubs too so have never found much time to shoot, retouch and upload. I was looking for more financial security as a means of escape from a relationship that financially I was tied to and thanks to stock I have now achieved :D

I know I joined when it was easier to get into stock but I am proof that if you follow your dreams and do your homework (practical and theory) you can do and become what you want.

As a child I was taught that by my father, he always said to us "if you want to be something then you have to go out and get it" He wouldn't help us as he wanted us to prove how much we wanted it. That was my first dream in life....becoming a professional dancer....and I danced professionally from the age of 17 to 35

The next milestone in my life has arrived and I feel a little like the young girl in this image with my sons pulling me back down to earth at times..... Dreamstime, be prepared....I have time on my hands :)

If an attack happens I need 30 minutes to get to the surgery, I can not travel far from the city. I can not have a burning food, the sun is dangerous to me, I'm banned from swimming in the river, exposed to rain I almost none of which is impossible. I was told that I probably will not have children I gave birth to a beautiful son. I can not jump, fall, it is dangerous to me. I live with this for 16 years. I began to paint. the doctors are not banned me :)))) A dream? it is when you live so that you can do it! Today I have broken my pencil "Genius", I'm drawing with the mouse, a dream to which she is able to keep enjoying what you can do it. ask what a joy to one who knows the value of life.
