One week has past since a system of storms passed through the northern part of Texas bringing with it rain, baseball sized hailstones, and 21 confirmed tornadoes. Over 1100 homes were damaged with approximately 350 of those destroyed. It is estimated that the cost of damages is between $300 million and $500 million.
Remarkably, despite the power of the storms and the large number of people living in the area, no one was killed and few were injured. Recovery is currently underway, and neighbors are helping neighbors.
