Those Elusive Sales...

posted on 9th of may, 2012

So I have been uploading pictures to my portfolio, and in the last month and a half of uploading, I am up to 17 pictures, which is decent for a VERY part time photographer. I have still not had any sales which is disappointing, but not unexpected for a newbie with a small portfolio. I am determined, though! I hold my head up high and stay postive and continue to invest in this delightful "job". I just hope I get some sales soon....that would be really nice!

Hi, welcome to DT. Check others portfolios with good sales, because stock photography is a little different then artistic photography. My mother never likes my stock images :)) I mean this is a different world. I loved your fish shots by the way!

As you upload more images of different subjects, your portfolio will reach a wider audience and sales with slowly increase. Love the black and white architecture. Good luck!

3 years ago I started here like you and now have over 2000 images online ... you just need to believe in yourself especially early on when rejections upset you. Just try to keep cool and learn from some [ but not all ] criticism]. David

Hi, Be sure to keyword and title your images for best effect. For example "Architecture 3" is probably not the most effective title for a photo.
