I had my vacations in August and I did not upload any picture. Anyway my income in August is similar to July income that was my best month.
In the last months I noted that the number of sales is not increasing but the revenue increased becouse the single picture income increased for me.
In addition the number of subscription sales do not increase for me.

Sales are terrible the last months. Compared to August 2011 my sales dropped 60% (!!!!!)in 2012 while my portfolio grew bij 20%.

I haven't been uploading for a while and had a steady amount of sales until these last two months with a sudden stop. It might have to do with how your images are exposed by the way trey are "shuffled" on DT's search...a mystery only known by very few and discussed many times on these blogs. While some photographers complain, others are doing good. It's always the same story. Good luck and best wishes with your sales.

July was terrible for me, I only got 40% of my usual sales... In the other hand, August has been great (BME) 40% more sales than usual.

august has been my second best month.... but thats not saying too much as I only have had 26 sale! 10 good sales 16 subscription.....but I am just starting out a year. I think olympic and summer has a lot to do with it.

I have found it the opposite. August has been my best month, both in sales and and earnings. I only uploaded one photo, but spent a lot of time on my two websites and referral links. I think this made a difference, as I also have more hits than usual.

Your uploads this month = 2, the database is growing much faster than your portfolio is increasing = less sales. Take also into account holiday season and other seasonal variations. Sept is normally a better month for most, fingers crossed :)

The Olympics no doubt had an effect. My July was my BME and August was close.

+1, sales went down to zero after the second week of august.
The views (needed before a sale is made) are down to almost zero after the 15th
Cannot be the vacations season because it will overall be my BME overall despite the DT performance

Yes. For me August was a complete washout until the 28th. I am hopeful that this is because it is summer and all the buyers are away on holiday, in which case things should pick up when they are back. We will see!
