Hi there DT community! I have a question and wonder who might have an answer! a bit over a year ago a good man came into my life and we have spent every weekend out and about happily taking photos where ever we go. He has watched with interest my adventures here on DT, but has often said well we are in the same places taking the same photos! I took a look into his secret world of photos and discovered untold treasure. although we do often photograph the same things, we see them differently, have different cameras, and as he is 6'5" and I am a foot shorter, even our point of view becomes different. So here is the question.. can we, together, have one dreamstime page? can we be the team that we are and combine our works...
you are welcome polafernandez! I have found every time one of my images gets in a collection, i make a sale of that image. people have to find you, and its too easy to get lost in 14 MILLION images on this site. to up the odds then, it helps to get out of your tiny little box and network with others here. collections do work! one image is found on anothers site.. links back to you... you never know. its like some people wait for thier ship to come in.. others swim out to it! I am learning to swim...
I reached another goal last week.. my claim to be able to say I can now request a pay check! FINIALLY...although I cant say its been due to good sales. Im still only at 36 images sold.. with 335 accepted. I am doing something right for the DT staff apperntly.. not the word needs to get to the buyers! But.. not too discouraged. it will come... and it does. meanwhile I am having fun and doing something I love. new changes in my life are ahead in the next month with a move to a new place and away from my 4 granddaughters..(but only an hour) new job, (hmm not sure yet what that will be!) and a new relationship. (well same guy.. just new step to living together full time) Life is like that, goes fast and you never know what is around the next corner!
oh no! I wish I was getting 2.80 per photo.. but I am exclusive with dreamstime and thus we get 20 cents just for having an image uploaded and accepted... I have WAY too many images sold for a subscription price of 42 cents! although my largest sale has been over $6 and the next was 4.80. ahhh but it all adds up... and it makes waking up in the morning to check, so much fun. thanks all! also please look at my 5 collections and see if there is anything you can add to them? giraffes, military moments, kids playing, butterflies and mud!
I feel like a brand new baby... clueless! I have some talented friends I want to refer to DT and I can find the info on badges and referrals.. but it makes no sense. how in the world do I post a badge or make a referral? can someone give me the dummies version on how to do this? why do some of these simple things seem like a dark scary tunnel to me? help! please and thank you!
If you have a personal website or a blog, you can add a referral badge. You have the code on the referral page - see dynamic badges: Link here You also have referral links to the home page or your portfolio on the same page. You can include any of these in your email signature. Anyone clicking on them and then registering on our site will be assigned as your referred member.
im still waiting a week for a response from my last question that was submitted directly to the dt staff.. they seem to be rather busy and I find most of the time the good people here are able to point me in the right direction a lot faster
