Careful with the kids!

Recently my family went on a week and a half trip to visit family and friends over the spring break and Easter. I drove back home with my two oldest boys. Probably one of the key definitions of 'distracted driving' is taking photographs out windows, so I had the boys try to take some photos of the Rockies and some other stock photo worthy subjects :) Not that I had any expectations, but if they are interested I like to encourage them to take photos.


What I didn't expect was that they would erase the memory card with all of the trip photos on it! When we arrived home I put the memory card in the computer and found 38 photos of mostly blurry mountains and a shot of me in the rear view mirror but none of the hundreds of shots of the...

Having the same pictures backed up in 2 different places is always a good idea. But sometimes it's true that we forget and we might just keep filling up our memory cards without putting them on a computer or external hard drive. It gets even worse with today's high capacity memory cards that can contain thousands of pictures. Thanks for sharing your story! I'll try to be careful in the future. By the way, I really like your bamboo picture.
