Recently, Firefox has had it’s 500 Millionth download (yes, that’s 500.000.000, or half a billion!). As a token of appreciation, and celebration, they decided to donate one grain of rice for every download to the World Food Program. Not only do I find this gesture rather noble, I’ve had the opportunity to do some work for the WFP back in 2004 after the Bam Earthquake in Iran, and I’ve seen with my own eyes how difficult and important their work is. They can use all the help they need! Another charming element of this generous festive gift is how Mozilla plans to donate the 500.000.000 grains of rice to ... [ Read more... ]

How fun is that. Okay I've just donated 1060 grains of rice. Time to get back to work. But I will pass this on.

Dreamstime definitely inches forward towards greatness with the keyword feedback they provide to their contributers on the sales page. I find this newly available information extremely useful, as it helps me analyse the effectiveness of my keywords, as well as help me understand the line of thought of the buyers and designers. Those insights can increase the efficiency of keywording dramatically. It has been - rightfully - said before, that whilst keywording an image, adopting the prospected buyer's perspective is extremely helpful in finding the right keywords, and thus efficiently reaching the target groups for an image. This approach is often proven in keywords matching the sold image. Having the keyword feedback tool Dreamstime provided, however, is also rather mind boggling, at ... [ Read more... ]

Many people ask me what's behind my nickname - 36Clicks. There are three answers, actually. A couple of years ago, I decided to start my own company at the age of 36. Didn't keep that promise to myself, as I gave myself a year's head start. The second reason resides on nostalgia; after 36 Clicks, the spool of film is full. Of course, this doesn't apply to Digital or Medium format cameras, let alone to the old 24 exposure 35mm film, but still - I like it. Last, as a company, the name 36Clicks will in most case be on top of any listing, registry or company guide..:) Most important, though, I like the sound of it, the domain 36clicks was still available, and no-one uses it, at least not to my knowledge ... Now, let me ask ... [ Read more... ]

I picked two words related to the profession ‘Graphics’ and ‘Photos’. Just mix-up them with little slicing and replacing; Graphics + Photos : graph + pho o : graf + foo : Grafoo.

Mine is from one of my favorite books, "Stargirl" by Jerry Spinelli. Since Stargirl tends to be taken everywhere, I stick an A in front. - posted by

Very idealistic one, like it simple and easy to remember. For me is (mailthepic), after years in the commercial photographing where back in the old days internet, email are not convenience .Everything have to be send by human.... but now with all the super technology, everything make easy with the click of a button. So just Mail the picture or visual to me (mailthepic) and i will get the job done. The lucky part is i got my email address for it too, mailthepic@yahoo.com. - posted by
