Looking for wedding photography tips     posted on 11th of august, 2008

At the end of the month I will be photographing my first wedding. I have helped with weddings before, have shot receptions, and such, but this is the first time it's all on my shoulders. I'm no longer just an assistant.

I'm asking for wedding photography tips. How to communicate with the bride and groom? How to work the ceremony? How to work the reception?

My concerns are mostly in conducting business, communicating, and being a photographer at the wedding rather than concerned about the images I produce.

Any advice would be useful.

Thanks!

Tip #1 - Never work for family or friends. Especially with something as emotional as a wedding. - posted by Litifeta on August 11, 2008

My First Level 2 Photo     posted on 7th of august, 2008

After participating in Dreamstime the last two months I am very happy to say that I now have my first level two photo. I'm excited to reach this milestone and it gives me lots of faith in DT. Looking forward to another month of increased sales. And tonight alone I took several hundred photos to narrow down to add more content.

My first Level 2 photo...

This photo was taken in Hawaii on the North Shore of Oahu during the first week of December, the best time of the year for big waves and great surfing.

Great shot Justin! I have been there and this image really captures the beauty of the wave, too bad we can't add the sound to our images. - posted by Irisangel on August 07, 2008

Woohoo, my first ever lightning capture     posted on 26th of june, 2008

Last night I capture my first ever lightning shots. A storm rolled over Marquette for a couple hours and the lightning continue in the distance for what seemed all night. I watched it from afar on the beach as it went into the distance of Lake Superior.

Incredible! Still new to lightning photography, not sure if they are stock ready yet! Eventually I'll get to this...

    About Me
Justin Sailor (Bugsy)
Marquette, US

I first picked up my mom's camera when I was a junior in high school. Coming from a family where photography runs deep it did not take long to get involved.

While at Michigan State University I studied advertising and sociology while focusing on photography every chance I got.

After graduation from MSU I headed off on a year-long 50 state tour of the United States where I snapped dozens of photos for a year. I stayed at least 5 days in all 50 states, staying with over 100 households of people i had never met before in my life.
