Many photographers and graphic designers have a good practice to backup their data regularly. I have a portable HDD to backup my laptop, and DVDs as a secondary backup because the burning processes are painfully slow. Today, I did a special backup because I seen this alert notice about Seagate's 2.5" HDD: Important notice of using MacBooks Mac HDD damage alert So, if your HDD has the same version of firmware you may do a full backup right now. edited by admin - moved image to the top

Since I had a catastrophal crash two years ago I have two harddisks in my PC with a RAID-Controller, that means: every read- and write-action is done simultan on two harddisks. Additional I save all picture-, dtp- and database-files on a seperate HD and on DVD. I never will have this experience again. - posted by

Hi, I'm just wondering, how big is your dreamstime folder(s) now? For me, including every related files with all the pictures, have grown up to 6.88GB. It's still very small and I'm happy 2 DVDs will backup everything.

Yes, me too. I have one external harddisk for fast backup. DVD is quite slow for me so I just use them bimonthly. - posted by

Today (Asian time) is Mid-Autumn Festival in Chinese culture and most people will have a holiday to spend time with their families. It's a very lovely festival that we will celebrate the full moon with lantern and a special food called Mooncake. (Kids are most excited because that's the only day they're allowed to play with fire ;-) I'm glad to share our happiness with you. Cheers!

Hi Teresa, most tradictional mooncakes are made of paste from lotus seeds and embedded with 1-4 yolks of salted duck eggs. Modern mooncakes have plenty of choices like different bean pastes or ice-cream with different flavours, they are more attractive by new generations. Other varieties like the filling with gold leaves or dried seafood could be more expensive but good for a gift. - posted by

I found a very useful (& beautiful) 3D mouse not only good in 3-dimensional drawings, but also simplify some control actions in Photoshop. You may not know Photoshop could support 3D drawings in real time, amazing! Demo of using 3D mouse in Photoshop The product page Can't wait for the product demonstration. What do you think?

Hi everybody, this is my first blog. I'm looking for a choice of digital camera that is compact and easy to use, take good pictures and have excellent price to value. Am I too greedy? Yes, one more, the body color and shape of the camera must be smart. After some researches, I'm going to try the Canon PowerShot G9. Actually, on the early stage of the research, I was looking for a entry level DSLR such as Olympus EVOLT series. Any suggestion for a junior photographer like me?

Yes, that would convince me to wait and take a further look at the G9. The Olympus one is already very small but not very fit for a flat massager bag I carry everyday. I'm sure a compact DC is capable of taking great pictures. The only one thing I eager to avoid is the one with high resolution but got very small lens, because they can't collect enough light to feed the sensor. - posted by

Hi. I had G7 and it was great. I've red that G9 is even better. You can use filter by special adapter and with external flash works perfect. The only thing is the chip is so small and it produce noise in the higher iso value. For micro stocks it might be a problem.. Greetings - posted by
