First of all l would like to say that I am not (NOT) a pro but just a hobbyist and still learning.
But let me share some tips that I think may be useful for someone like me.
I happened to read this book, "Taking Stock: Make money in microstock creating photos that sell" by Rob Sylvan.
It says many good points and some of these are images with fringe will straightaway go into trash.
Under or over expose images are most probably won't be selected. by looking at the photo we might not realize that it is under or over exposed if it is not so obvious.
So how to solve these?
After reading the book I realize that it is good to have (good to have)
