How to get loooong shutter speeds.

This post is for beginner photographers out there who are interested in getting started to experiment with long shutter speeds for landscape or any other photography. The question answered in this post is "How do I get long shutter speeds?". This post do not answer questions such as "When to use long shutter speeds?". However, there are a few different ways to achieve long shutter speeds and they are explained below.

Aperture
The smaller aparture you use the longer the shutter speed will be. Note that a higher number indicates a smaller aparture. Depending on your equipment the smallest possible aparture might vary but it is usually something likge f/22.

ISO
Use as low number ISO as possible, usually 100 or 50 is the lowest setting on digital cameras. Shutter...

	Posted by Robinstockphotos on May 25, 2013 There is another way too! Which works for even those who cannot control apertures or shutter speed or anything and don't even have ND filters. Put the camera on the tripod and make the camera take 30 JPEG shots continuously. Most compact cameras can be programmed to do this stuff. At least 10 at a time. Then stack them in Photoshop. That eliminates noise automatically. It creates pretty good stuff. :) And some people say use your sunglasses in front of the lens (MANY blogs posts by "photographers" on Google say that). The stupidest tip in the world, for sure.
