Chaos in Washington DC

By now most people have probably heard about all the chaos occurring in the Washington area in the last few months.With the shootings at the Washington Navy Yard,a woman being killed by police near the nation's Capitol building and the government shutdown, the DC area has definitely had it share of chaos,tragedy and confusion.
Knowing that a shutdown was looming I decided to go downtown and capture some of the sights I had a feeling would be closed and as it turned out they were. Beginning with the Washington Monument.After an earthquake hit the area in 2011 the monument was closed to visitors while repairs were underway.Scaffolding was installed on all four sides 500 feet up and then lights were installed.While doing work in the Georgetown section of the city...
