Transition to Digital TV posted on 8th of august, 2007

The date set for transition from analogue TV to HD digital broadcast services is swiftly approaching... is there any evidence of anything of the correct order of magnitude put in place to deal with the 100 or so million analogue TV sets shortly to be dumped in landfills?
