Is the phone/email a dreamstime thing? I always use a generic release for my Rights Managed work, and they are always accepted. Address only is required. So is the date. You really can't force a person to have email, or for that matter, even a phone. As long as they have a legal address, I would just mark the phone/email fields "none". - posted by Niagaragirl on March 30, 2008

Teleconverters.     posted on 16th of march, 2008

Teleconverters are used to magnify the focal length of the tele lenses. Their are mainly two types of teleconverters:-

1.4x teleconverter

2x teleconverter.

Be carefull in chosing the teleconverters as only tele lenses work with them and do check the focus function before purchasing it.

Illustrations     posted on 13th of march, 2008

I have seen in many portfolios that illustrations have more downloads than othe photographs, is it true that illustrations have more sales potential than other pics.

Maybe. One reason is that there are a lot more photos than illustrations out there. So the competition is much higher in photos. - posted by Tang167 on March 13, 2008

Flying birds     posted on 8th of march, 2008

Its a very challenging task to shoot the flying birds. After lots of experience one can really take the perfect shot.

So you can tell your settings for shooting the birds in motion.

My settings in daylight are:-

ISO 200

SHUTTER SPEED 1000

APERTURE F8

Which is better Sigma or Tamron     posted on 4th of march, 2008

HI EVERYBODY i AM LITTLE BIT CONFUSED,WHETHER THE SIGMA LENSES ARE BETTER OR THE TAMRON ONES PLEASE GIVE YOUR SUGGESTIONS.

Yes, what Maigi said. Both companies are about on equal footing. THey are both thrird party and put out a very good product. On Sigma, I have a 28-200 which does well for me, yet the 28-300 has not served me well and I will be selling it. On Tamron, I have a 28-75 2.8 which is excellent, but the 18-250 is to me an average performer. It's just that you have the good range for vacations and general walkaround, plus macro capability. It all depends what you shoot. I use the 28-75 mainly for food shots and still life. You need to select your focal length and aperture needs, then look at the individual lens tests. You would probably get more responses in the appropriate forum for this. - posted by Niagaragirl on March 04, 2008
I suspect, it's a bit similar topic as Which Is Better Canon Or Nikon? If you'll ask me, it's simple - Canon and Tamron are better. :)) But if you ask, why, I can say only - because I haven't ever had Nikon or Sigma... oh well... but without joking - I think they are equal brands. If you want to compare lenses, you have to select particular lenses and read reviews (www.fredmiranda.com). Some Tamron lens are better than corresponding Sigma lens and vice versa - some Sigma lens are better than similar Tamron lens. - posted by Maigi on March 04, 2008
No idea, both lenses are not used. maybe is hard to get a solution. psychology issue:) - posted by Eprom on March 04, 2008

Advantage of Full frame sensor.     posted on 10th of february, 2008

i just want to know the main advantage of full frame sensor digital camera over other digital camers.

Full frame gives a true wide angle instead of the apparent 1.5 magnification factor. For instance, a full frame Nikon will give me the ability to use some of my old wide angle lenses. I my case, I am always looking to go wider rather than having my telephoto length "magnified". For most people who seem to more enjoy the illusion of longer telephoto lengths, there is no advantage. Questions like this are best posted to the appropriate DT forum. - posted by Niagaragirl on February 12, 2008
You get less cropping - cams that aren't full frame end up cropping some of what the lens sees. Am I correct? - posted by Thesupe87 on February 11, 2008
