Wadi Rum is a valley cut into the sandstone and granite rock in southwest Jordan. It is the largest "wadi" in Jordan. The area is now one of Jordan's important tourist destinations, and attracts an increasing number of foreign tourists, particularly trekkers and climbers or simply 'day-trippers' from Aqaba or Petra.
I went there for a 2 days walk in 2005 in a week journey in Jordan, and it is here that I felt in love with the desert ...
I now try to have a week of walk almost every year in the desert of the world (namib, sahara, ...). That's why you can see so many picture of sand and rock in my Dreamstime gallery.
