In China , Phoenix is the king of birds in the ancient legend, almost as famous as dragon. And also Phoenix is a placename. Phoenix(Fenghuang) county is located in the west of Hunan Province of China.it is one of the most beautiful town in China according to the description of New Zealand writer Rewi Alley.
Here, you can see rows of small wooden houses projecting over the water along the tuo river, and ancient red stone Streets near the river.

There are two famous scenic spots of terrace in China, One is located in Yuanyang County, Yunnan Province , which is in the southwest area in China, and the other is located in Longsheng Ethnic Minorities Autonomous County in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region which is in the southern area of China. But actually there are terraces everywhere in China, especially in China southern hill area.
Longsheng terrace is a part of the Guilin natural scenic spots which is well-known for its spectacular landscape of mountains, rivers and lakes, forests and caverns formed by karst geomorphology and various cultures of the Zhuang, Yao ethnic minorities.
