Right place at the right time     posted on 28th of may, 2008

Like you all know, you can take many hundreds of pictures before you get the right one. One of my favorite things to do is to ride around the area with my wife and just keep my camera near my side. We will ride for an hour or so taking pictures along the way. Well a week or so ago we were on one such ride when I came to a stop to let some baby geese cross the road, I look left and BAM!!!! There is that perfect picture for me framed and ready to shoot. I took about a dozen at different positions and this is the result.

That's sad. But you can frame it... :) Beautiful memories. - posted by Maigi on May 30, 2008
I did get the shot of the babies, but dreamstime said it was a well covered group and rejected it! - posted by Reb3times on May 29, 2008
Beautiful shot. I do the same thing. I always have small camera in my purse. You never know when a photo opportunity will pop up out of nowhere. Good luck on finding many more beautiful and unexpected shots. - posted by Irisangel on May 29, 2008

I got it!     posted on 6th of april, 2008

I know that for most of you this is probably a simple task. I just got into doing photography a few months ago. And working for the Army my time to take pictures is somewhat limited. But playing with my settings I finally got the cascade effect i've been looking for. This is the result. Its my first one like it. I was planning to take a trip and do some more this weekend. But, I got in a fight with a patch of ice while walking around the base. The ice won, and my knee got beat up! Oh well. Let me know if you have any tips or comments. Thanks

I call these "soft water" shots and I love them! They aren't easy to expose properly since you have to use a slower shutter speed which leads to over-exposure in bright light, and lots of noise in darker conditions. Good job! Hope your knee recovers quickly! - posted by Amyemilia on April 07, 2008

I wish you were there.     posted on 2nd of april, 2008

I live about 100 yards from the shore of one of the many bays of Lake Ontario. On most evenings I go look out the window and see how the sunset is looking. If its promising I head down to the dock. On a recent night I captured this image. Its not of the sunset, but rather, its about 45 degrees south of the sunset itself. It was amazing. I was shocked by the even stack of color in the sky. And the shocking part.... It got approved!!! Most sunset pics dont make it because it so heavily populated. thank DT and community. Now I just wish it would get a download!
