Speed Networking Event, Just Like Speed Dating. . .     posted on 19th of march, 2008

Yesterday I attended a Speed Networking event for the very first time. The premice of Speed Networking is exactly like speed dating wherein you sit across the table from someone whom you've never met before and are given six minutes to get to know each other. Three minutes for one person to talk, and three minutes for the other to talk while giving them your undivided attention. After the six minutes is up, you move down the table and meet the next person and so on.

Yes Ann it was fun and interesting. I was bumbed that it was over so quickly. Our local HBBA (HBBA- Helping Businesses Build Assets Inc), which is a networking group with many chapters, had organized this particular Speed Networking event. This was the second year they've held this event. In our area, there are many referral-type organizations for networking. I belong to HBBA, but there is BMG, Referral Network, the Green Bay area Chamber of Commerce, and BNI, to name a few. These organizations would be best suited to organize Speed Networking events being they are already 'connected' and have the potential to get a larger group involvement. When we meet others, things begin to happen . . . lots and lots of things. Thanks for the comment Ann. Sherry Piatti - posted by Rjssignscom on March 21, 2008

Thank You to everyone who reached out and responded regarding my adding their photos to my "Collection of Collections," and also thank you to those who responded regarding my images. You truly are a very class act.

I used to think I shouldn't email people because "they are busy and don't want to be bothered." Perhaps some are too busy, but not the huge majority who feel despite being busy they still love and appreciate the feedback. They want to be kept informed regarding how their photos are used, or to even simply be "thanked," for downloading their photo, or adding their photo to collections.

No matter how busy life gets, we're never to busy to receive (or send) a quick "thank you"...
