>Today I finally hit the 500 image mark. Not a large portfolio, not a small one either, but somewhere in that happy middle ground. And, unless something goes horribly awry, I should be hitting the $5000 revenue mark in the middle of this month. Thanks to DT for the stellar work in keeping my portfolio selling despite a 6 month upload hiatus!
A month from now I'll be moving 8000km away from Hong Kong, to Alaska. Even though it'll only be for 8 months, its churned a smothered fire inside of me and ignited a renewed visual passion for the country I call my second home. Places I've gone to for years on end but never taken my camera with me, I've started to make images of. >I'm not sure if the buyer will ever read this, but I'd like to say a special thank you you for purchasing one of my images with the SR-EL license.
The picture was taken during a cycling trip from Kota Kinabalu to Kuching. I remember exactly when it was taken, mostly because of the sheer amount of blood lost to mosquitos! It was around 4 in the morning when the electricity went out at the beach cabin I was staying in for the night, and all of the mosquito killing and warding off measures were rendered inoperable, so I took my camera out of my bag and went for a pre-dawn walk along the beach and waited for the sunrise. The picture you purchased was one of those from before the sunrise.
Thanks again for purchasing my image. I'd love to know what it will be used for.
