I found an interesting post on editing file .ico with photoshop.
There is a free plugin that gives you this ability. So you can give to your webmaster the favicon.ico for his website!

How to Make any Photo Sepia in Photoshop (Any Version)

Bring up your hue/saturation and make the following changes:
Check the colorize box
Change Hue to 36
Change the Saturation to 30
Change Lightness to -10
And there you go! A photo nicely sepiaized!
