Spotlight on photos that I like from Dreamstime - 2

posted on 3rd of september, 2007

This is one of the first images that I have seen and appreciated at Dreamstime when I joined. I was looking around to get an idea
of what were the kind of images most downloaded and saw this nice photo-methapor. (Only later I found it belonged to the CEO of Dreamstime, our beloved Achilles... :-)
I liked at once the fresh concept of difference, using strawberries and with the color change. Simple but very effective. I cannot tell if the berry is hand painted or color changed in photoshop, in the latter case, it shows how a digital retouch can help to quickly realize a creative idea.

Thank you, thank you! This was done 3 years ago, so received so many downloads because it was up for so long. I see a good revenue from these top images now, although they are old and not up to the current quality of my equipment. In regards to the concept, might have been better to have 3 blue/artificial ones in the background and one that is natural in the front. The impact could be less in that case, but the concept would be more positive, therefore more stock oriented. The shadow of the blue strawberry has a blue tint. It should be as the others, or maybe not?
