What is your motivation and aim in shooting photos for microstock?

posted on 10th of december, 2008

For me at start it was more out of necessity, to find a viable
alternative to earn some extra income, due to some difficulties
to develop further my other career.

Now, after almost three years, is the main income source. But it hasn't eaten away the passion to do it for fun. On the contrary.
The financial security permits to have time to develop personal
works and more complex projects (not necessarily for stock).

In five years from now I'd like to have built an established 'brand' in microstock, as stated in the excellent Ellen Boughn's blog.

Parallel to that would like to have established a name also in more 'creative' photography, for which I'm building a portfolio right now.

What is your experience, your motivation and your final aim?

hahaha, yes you can...

Trip to China is long and hard, but to get there you need to do only two things. Make first step, and take right direction.

This is the first time that I write in my blog, in English unfortunately not the mistress and I apologize.
My goal and motivation is identical to your even though my result is not positive as yours, but I want to carry it forward however, for the same reasons.

well said Altaf! Congratulations for your excellent performance so far (3.35 download per photo is pretty good). I dream as well to reach that 10K milestone! :-)

yeah my motivation is the smile on my friends and family when they see my images. I love photography and illustrations, my final aim will be to have atleast 10000 images online.
