Continuing a Story

posted on 13th of december, 2008

............so I went out on a mountain bike ride. The day was sunny, the air cool and crisp, the sky bright blue.
We were talking and having fun. All of a sudden something happened and I was going over the handlebars aiming at the ground. I landed under the bike because one foot didn't come unclipped.
I pushed the bike off me and started getting up. My riding buddy was upset, wanting to know if I had broken something! A few years ago she had broken her clavicle badly on a fall and a year ago another friend had gotten broken bones and a lot of scrapes from a road bike fall. She was upset and I was wondering just what had happened, but all of my parts seemed to work as did the bicycle!
This happens to me at least once a year! I thought I'd made it through this year, but my record is intact.
I got up and kept riding because, to not do so, can make it more painful, got to keep the blood flowing to ease the pain.
When I got home I realized that I had jammed the left pinky finger so I iced it. One of these days my, tough as nails body is going to give me a reality check!
so.......to finish the story, all is well and I can still use the computer. That's great news because soon Santa is going to bring me a new one! I've had trouble for a few months and a tech friend has tried to help, but I just can't take it anymore and a decision was made. It's nothing fancy, but it's a big upgrade from what I've been struggling with and having to constantly reboot. I'm awaiting the delivery truck and maybe my tech friend can help me get it all set up in a reasonable amount of time.

I will never grow up and I want to keep learning about this stock photography stuff while I stay young.
Carry on, everyone, and keep posting your hints and tutorials, I need them all!
