The struggle to make seamless patterns

posted on 1st of december, 2008

I have beens struggling for some time...I had set my mind to creating seamless patterns, but I found out that seamless patterns are really REALLY hard to make.

I finally stumbled over a really cool tutorial, written by someone who mananaged to explain seamless patterns in such a simple way that even I understood... FINALLY!

This is the first one approved on dreamstime - I am really proud!

Retro dots and silhouettes

posted on 2nd of december, 2008

I love the retro dots, lines and silhouettes, and I have made this illustration that covers them all.

I really hope it sells well.

I can see that there are quite a number of other designs with female silhouettes with abstract hair styles - I found this on that I think is really beautiful

Seamless Patterns

posted on 11th of december, 2008

Had some more seamless patterns approved today - I really enjoy making them.
I find the process of choosing colours, and deciding where the elements should go in order to make the pattern flow, is almost relaxing :-)
How about you? Is there any particular type of illustration that you really enjoy making?

posted on 13th of december, 2008

Christmas is getting so close, and I can see that spring images are beginning to take of - so I have made a couple of bird illustrations for you. I need spring concepts - I seem to have run out of ideas, maybe it is just to dark in Denmark to think about spring...;-)

Presenting the OneEyz

posted on 17th of december, 2008

I have been working on this design collection for some time - sketching and having ideas for new carachters...

The idea was to create a whole collection of brightly coloured small carachters, that can be used for icons, or magazine illustrations, or childrens illustrations.

I am happy to say that they are now available in my portfolio, and I hope they will sell well...

I also made a seamless pattern
and I am hoping to be able to make som card designs using the carachters.
