Buildings Are One Of My Favorite Subjects

posted on 22nd of march, 2009

Growing up as a kid in the big city, I always wanted to build tall buildings.

I took drafting in high school and was going to go to college and become an engineer or architect (actually graduated with a BA in film and video).

I never followed that dream, but I always kept abreast of the many buildings going up around me.

Even today that passion shows through my captures of the many buildings in my hometown.

Most images were capture with a wide angle lens and edited in Photoshop. I use a tripod for 90% of my architecture images.

I had a brief encounter with Dubai on one of my stop over flights to England, it will definately be somewhere I will visit in the future.

I agree with fulton, well Aughty, then you should visit Dubai, you can find only buildings around, too many buildings

Very nice images, and I bet if we did a poll on how many people actually became what they wanted to as a kid, I would say over 80% of us did not follow our dreams, very strange how society changes things, or more likely how we allow ourselves to be changed.
