What is your favorite book?

posted on 22nd of march, 2009

What is your favorite book? A simply question, but it isn´t easy for me to answer it. I love reading, since childhood. I have read so many wonderful books that it is hard for me to chose one book.

I have read many fiction books, however in the last two-three years I pick up non-fiction books with more interest and pleasure. I´ve been reading several splendid books about photographing, astrology, angels, nature, legends of old nations etc.

Reading is wonderful and relaxing, but I like books also like a photographing topic.
One can be creative and make romantic images with books.

One can show somebody reading.

One can make simple, but very useful images of a book or a pile of books. And we could go on with the list. When my niece asked me the question above, I didn´t know the answer, but I did realized how I would like to write a short blog about books and to wish you to pick up always a wonderful book for reading and perhaps to create some nice ideas for images with books.

The Third Policeman by Flann O'Brien...a Tour de Force for the human imagination. A great story with a magnificent set of characters which lead you deeper and deeper into the psyche...and oh, so very, very funny!

I love your images, and I love books. It's kind of an obsession with me. I, too, will be a bit trite and say that Grapes of Wrath and David Copperfield are my favorites. I like big, thick, luscious books that create world I can get lost in.

I have loved reading ever since I was a child also! Lately, I have been reading fiction books about the French Revolution - yes, the backdrop is a bit depressing and dark, but the heroes in the books seem to really shine brightly in the story! I really liked "A Tale of Two Cities" and "The Scarlet Pimpernel." Now I am reading all the sequels in the Scarlet Pimpernel series!!!

I love your astrology image above. Very well done. My favorite book in The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield.

I love a good autobiography, but ones where the people that have written them or are written about have had a real substantial or meaningful impact on history and have had a positive influence in their short time here, this may not always be because of what they achieved while here but how they influenced us positively through their own actions.

I'm a fan of many books, but "Crime and Punishment" and "Return of the Native" are a couple of favorites. My favorite photo book is "The Dramatic Portrait" by M. Grecco.

At the risk of sounding trite, "Pride and Prejudice" and "War and Peace".
