Food As Photography

posted on 26th of march, 2009

One of my favorite subject is food for many reasons.

Being a vegan I have always had a special passion for fresh foods.

I take time to enjoy the foods I grow in my square foot garden and the ones I buy from my favorite grocer.

Here are some of the foods I have captured before they became my meal. I use my studio for most captures and at times when available I would use nature lighting. Using studio lights are always a challenge because there are so many ways to use LIGHTING in the studio. Still life photography is always satisfying.

I really like the reflection in the Buddha hand photo and the composition of the corn and popcorn photo!

Lovely shots Aughty. Really like the Buddha's hand lemon.

Really nice shots. The Buddha's Hand Lemon looks more like art than something you'd eat. I've never even seen this before.
