What is Good Web Design?

It’s remarkable how quickly a visitor can make a judgment about whether or not they like the design of a site. Ask that same user to pinpoint the reasons why they like or dislike the design of a site, and it will take considerably more time and effort, and in some cases, they might not even be able to. People with no understanding of design principles are capable of making opinions on a design and being influenced greatly by the look and feel of a site.

While most of what people base these opinions on is very subjective, there are some elements of design that can help make your websites appeal to a broader audience.
