Winter is coming...

posted on 10th of september, 2009 be prepared and get ready for it with snowy shots and Xmas illustrations!

Do not forget that marketing business and ads are far before seasons! Agencies and buyers need your winter scenes before cold days! You won't sell your wonderful frozen shots in the middle of season (or not many as you wish :D)...Jump into snow now! :)

New collection for theme is here: Winter in Hungary
(I know these photos are not so happy and are not the pictures of century - they've been taken before my grandfather's funeral in February...)

Iris, thank you! I have some others in pending queue...I hope the best.... :)
Kikkerdirk, B&W should be great for winter scenes - no purple fringing :)
David, last two is made from jpeg, so don't give up!
Fulton, South Africa...mmm, you're lucky, man..! :) You can take really unique winter shots without snow... ;)
Maen, I have no words for you... ;) Thank you! :D
Svecchiotti, I love autumn colors, and I will take tons of shots - for next year! :)
Marylin, yes, still warm in Hungary, too, but there are some xmas decorations in big market's a little bit strange to me, but business is business... :/

thanks for the idea! I've got lots of beautiful shots of last year! There all on film, black and white, bit maybe it would be good to scan them and put them on-line.

Smart thinking. Unfortuneately before joining Dreamstime I only took fine rather than RAW images so its not so easy but I will try ! Thanks again. David.

Spring has just sprung here in NZ so my winter shots are coming to an end. I'm very ready for a change in season. I love your tree shots, I hope they sell well. Cheers :0)

Winter is a great season but let's not forget that autumn colors are coming very soon first !

Love your winter shots, especially the winter tree abstract! Yes indeed, although summer weather is still upon us the fall and winter themed advertising abounds. Some retailers have already displayed Christmas decorations! Then when we are bundled up with our winter coats and furry boots in the midst of winter our summer fun assignment images should be selling well!

But the result is simply excellent! :-) The hard job was awarded! :-)

Thank you....yapp, the was a horror to set the correct white balance without burn out/dark parts... :)
To tell the truth, I'm happpy with my kit lens, snow is a really hard theme and I could get it without serious purple fringing or noise...

Wow, beautiful winter pictures!! I especially like the winter tree and the ice world :) I love the winter so much because it has such a calm and clear beauty! I'm really looking forward to it, not only because I want to take photos but also because I love the cold, fresh air, the sound of snow falling on the ground and just everything about it. I like the snow covered fields in the early morning, and I love being there alone, awaiting the sunrise :) *cannot wait* I also sold some Christmas and winter images already :)

About me

I've started photographing a few years ago with a compact cam. In 2008 november I decided to buy a DSLR cam, and I chose a Pentax k10d. Now I'm upgraded into a Pentax K-3 for more details. I think I'm good at nightscenes - however, I don't like to take photos about people, so my pics sometimes seems a little static - mainly for Stock photographing, but I don't give up. :) Lots of my photos are based on R... [Read more]
