Patriotism in the Off-Season?

posted on 29th of october, 2009

Technically, while the peak demand may be down in the US for the typical patriotic images, there are probably some countries who are in full swing due to their own Independence Day. Of course, there is always a little need due to military endeavors, war, peace for that matter, or political elections. I am familiar with what we associate as being patriotic images in the US, but I'm curious about elsewhere.

I've gathered these images of youngsters to put a cute spin on this familiar topic. Please share your own patriotic images. Of course, they don't have to be pictures with children. I have also included a wonderful image of a bald eagle. What animal or object symbolizes your nation's pride?

Mmm, what represents New Zealand? Our flag,  New Zealand National Flag and the Kiwi of course Kiwi , but we're also a nation of DIYers  DIY that love BBQs in the summer Summer BBQ . Then of course there is the rugby, go the "All Blacks" INTERNATIONAL BEACH RUGBY - NEW ZEALAND . And you couldn't start a rugby game without doing the Maori "Haka" first Maori Haka in Red . And then there are the "ANZACs" Australian and New Zealand Army Corps that served our countries in wars past.  ANZAC Memorial  None of these pictures are mine, I just wanted to share a little of what makes New Zealanders who they are.

I love this topic, Jonathan. I love the little girl peeking through the flag. I have several in my portfolio, and here are just a few of them:
