In my blog from Oct. 30th 2009 titled More DC At Night i wrote about going on another night shoot in Washington and that i would share those images when and if they ever got accepted.Well,on Nov. 30th 2009 i arrived in downtown DC as the sun was starting to set.The image of the White House is an indication of what the the light was looking like at the time i arrived and captured my first shots.
As the sun set even further i found myself by the Washington Monument and the light was so cool looking i could not help but fire off some more shots.
Now it is completely dark and the fun is about to begin. From the Washington Monument i made my way over to the Jefferson Memorial then back toward the Monument then finally the US Capital Building.
There is so much more i want to capture in the US Capital that i hope to go back soon and to be honest i really don't care how cold it gets.I must mention one more thing to those who might want to capture DC at night and that is to make sure you have all your credentials in order cause security is everywhere and you never know when you can be asked what you are doing. It,s happened to me only a few times but i,m glad they are doing their job.Day or night this city is really awesome to photograph and i hope that the readers of this article get a chance to visit and photograph this city and enjoy it as much as i do.
As i capture more of Washington at night i will try to share those images with the members of DT.
