Finding used images

posted on 15th of february, 2010

Recently some of my images were downloaded. But, via tineye.com, I can't find any of them in use. For me it is a little bit frustrating to know that my images are used but not being able to find where and what they are used for. Is there anybody who knows other ways to encounter downloaded images? Do you think DT should implement a special function for image use reports? I am very interested in your suggestions and opinions :)

Charlydamart. This particular link is not for all the images from dreamstime. That link is for the images I downloaded for the magazine. But yeah if check the site and each magazine in that site you might find some. Its not a site for finding images, but for online magazines. Issuu

Not all pictures are used on the web, many are used on paper prints (advertising, brochures, leaflets...). It also takes time for things to get processed so you can't expect results immediately. Keep on looking, you'll probably get lucky one day!

Did you ever tried to Google your username on DT? This is how I've found some of my images in use. Good luck!

As a buyer I try my best to inform about the use of the images by blogs or messages! Sometimes I inform that I downloaded it but not all go for the use we were waiting for! Some are waiting for the projects to be published!
That if the photos are used digitally not for prints only!
You've sold nothing yet to lose your patience :)
Good luck in more sales. Cheers ;)

As a buyer, this can be really hard to do. I may use an image in a layout that never gets printed or produced. Microstock images are so inexpensive now that I can easily buy them and use them for comps. Or maybe the buyer has bought it for their own personal use -- like to frame and hang in their home. Unfortunately, I don't think you'll ever find out where the majority of your photos are used.

I don't think this will ever happend. They will not do this. Don't worry, if they want, after they buy your images they will live you a comment. This was never possible with my images. But maybe... with your.
