thanks for the compliments. Actually, the Ferret was a pretty easy experience. I did volunteer work (portraits of animals) for the local SPCA and this was one of the pocket-pets up for adoption. They had stainless steel cages that were approx. 2 feet deep, 3 feet long, about about 2 feet high. It was simple to put black cloth as a backdrop (hung on the cage walls with tape), add a couple leaves and a pot, then add the ferret.
Yes, the ferret was like a running tiger, all over the place. Truly, pets are wonderful to photograph.
