Professionally yours, my stock diary

posted on 12th of june, 2010

I began shooting stock a few month's ago after being inspired by photographer yuri arcus.
Ive always been interested in photography and my grandfather and uncle used to develop film in the bathtub of their country home.
I decided a few month ago after being injured at work to take up photography full time and learning all of the ropes of stock from the best in the business.
I went out and bought a new canon 7d with 28-135mm lens to practice with. since then ive taken some really bad photos and some really good photos. I'm still waiting on my studio lighting which will consist of 2 soft boxes in the rear to burn the background of my images to create isolate images1 boom with huge soft box for overhead light 2 umbrellas, and 1 beauty light. After shooting outdoors Ive found that i'm just not that interested in outdoor photography, nature photography (Booorrring!) sunsets (boring) etc. I'm a studio man, i want to control the light and be as creative as i want to be!
so keep posted and i will begin to provide tutorials on studio lighting for stock and start posting a bunch oh my studio work.

Good approach ;) I wish you a lot of success. And have one question: which tool do you call "beauty light"?
