Download Subscription Changes

posted on 31st of july, 2010

What happened to one download being one download? I got a subscription last year for one month for some images so I could do some volunteer work for my son's school football program. I did the same thing this year and when I went to get my "10 downloads" for the day, I found out the images are 2-4 downloads each, no matter which size. (I guess I missed some fine print somewhere.) How does this make sense? I was expecting to get about 300 images, but now I will be lucky to get half of them. I just want others to learn from my mistake because I am always in a hurry and tend to skip the details.

For such questions, my recommendation is to contact support. I see our contributors have been very helpful in explaining how this works :) but usually, you need to contact support for any issues related to prices, downloads, licenses etc.

Yes, DT has changed their prices on credits, BUT...I hope you find what you are looking for! I wish you good luck! ;)

You can also expand the options DreamFinder advanced search and tick image price for only two first levels.

It's been 8 months since dreamstime have changed their prices on credits! But since there were a change on the level range also many images have entered level 3, 4 & 5 earlier with fewer downloads & this affected directly or in directly the subscriptions!
I agree with you that we should always read about the conditions & check the state of things we buy!
As Rozann said try to order the images by downloads & see if you can get similar images with level 1 & 2

Level 1 and Level 2 pictures require 1 subscription credit per download. You can sort the images by download ascending which will show in priority the images with less downloads, ie the cheaper images.

I'm not sure how it worked last years but since I remember, selling of image could be in five different levels. The levels refer to how many times an image has been downloaded. Images with larger number of downloads gain higher level and higher price as well (dreamstime shows it here

This means that if you need to buy exactly 300 images, try to find those with the level 1 or 2.
