Vector images

posted on 5th of september, 2010

I have just begun experimenting with vector images. I have to say it's a lot of fun and I have a tendency to let my imagination run wild when I'm creating images. I downloaded a not so expensive program from the internet. It is called Line Form and is very intuitive and works like photoshop. Has anyone worked with this particular program? I would love to learn a few tips if you have any. Thanks.

I also use Illustrator.

I am pretty sure you have to provide a JPG format, and then you upload the EPS (vector) as an additional format. At least, this is what I do, and I am not aware of another way around it.

Plus, people buy the JPG's, so why would you not want to provide it?

Best wishes.

I didn't know this software, but from what I see on internet it seems a good software. I also use Inkscape & Gimp. Anyway, I wish you to upload many vector images. Bye, Rob.

I haven't. Interesting to experiment.

You might also want to try Inkscape and GIMP. Both programs are free and can be used to make some nice vector images. I have recently begun to experiment myself and have 2 vector images in the queue.

One tip that I have found is using images that are not good enough for a photo image to be the basis for a vector diagram. Using layers, you can trace the basic shapes and then use other tools to make nice images.

By the way...does anyone know how to download vector drawings to this site without converting them to jpeg format?
