Walking for Exercise, Fitness, and Fun is a great way to combine a workout with an enjoyable activity. Is not only easy and simple but anybody can do it. Walking is far less traumatic on the body than running or jogging. It is quite likely the most popular physical activity today; Why? Because people of all age groups can get involved and enjoy the benefits!

Walking for fun is an excellent way to get your body into good physical shape, and help in maintaining overall health and wellness. Walking is an activity where the participant often uses the areas around where they live, usually on roads, footpaths or parks and recreational areas. Walking has proven to be a great beneficial exercise because it is the most natural movement for your body to do.

Walking for Exercise is a fun way to help us achieve any fitness level. Walking has become the new mantra for people who want to shed those extra pounds, and is an ideal choice for many because it requires little more than suitable clothing, good shoes, and a safe, walking area.

I guess my profile pic tells you something...

Last 'big' walk a few months ago was the C2C - which we do again soon for charity, being for less fortunate young and old who are not able to enjoy life's most simple of pleasures.

The pic was actually taken on the Cotswold Way walk (only about 105 miles, but very hot when we did it and I am hamming it up for the camera..). And you are absolutely right, we are both in our mid 60s and often see young bucks with enormous backpacks failing badly due to lack of practice. Walk little and often before taking on the distances and you will feel much healthier and better for it, and don't even get me started on the views!
