I found one of my photos on the web!! And what a strange article!

posted on 14th of april, 2011

So I accidentally found one of my stock photos on a website while trying to identify a spider. I did a google image search and....well there it was.

But what I found amusing was the article!
Take a look!

Side note!
And by the way is there a way to know if they are legally using my photo?

Hi Tangi...Yes I saw it was not DT, but still excited to see one of my photos out there and DT is the agency I am most involved with as far as blogs and discussions go........hopefully going to go exclusive in the near future with DT. Thanks for the post.

:) If you check the comments, the author of the article names the source of the photo and it is not Dreamstime. :) The usage is legit - the file is meant to illustrate and article and the standard license is required. There is nothing sensitive involved here as far as your "model" is concerned. I am not sure about the other agency's terms but perhaps a credit line should have been added.

Well, that explains last night. There I was, sitting in a bar, when a beautiful woman comes in and sits down next to me, and she has a big, glass jar with a spider in it.

The woman winked at me and said I could go home with her if I put my hand in the jar with the spider.

I decided to leave because I figured this was either too weird or I had been drinking too much.

What she didn't know was I don't need the spider. :-)

Thanks every one, although this spider is on other sites as well, along with flickr too.

Was a lucky find.

Great find. It looks like the real thing to me, they use one photo per article, photos are no watermarked and the website looks serious and professional.

As the DT water mark is not there, we have to just presume that it is authentically bought. (with the assumption that this is not a third party who has flicked it from some one who has legally bought it)

good question! "And by the way is there a way to know if they are legally using my photo?"
