Travel photography

posted on 10th of june, 2011

I was wondering what is the peak in sales over the year for travel photography?
I was expecting that before the start of summer season I would have more sales with my travel images, but nothing is really changing the result...

What is your view on the sales of this topic?
And what locations are making good sales? Any suggestions for traveling this summer?

My suggestion is Sahara in Tunisia, the smoothest sand in the world...

and you can also find in my portfolio some special locations from Greece ..

Enjoy :)

Lovely pics. Publishing works 6 months or so ahead, so a good time for "hot" travel photography would be winter - skiing/snow images probably sell well in summer, which seems bizarre!

I'm curious, how do you protect your camera from the sand? I had a bad experience & am loathe to take my camera back into a sandy/desert landscape.

I know I am not adjusting exactly to the topic but what I have confirmed is that my nightingale pictures sell strongly in springtime!
Congrats for your great pics!

Microstock is a numbers game. The more photos in your portfolio the more sales you generate. Your portfolio is relatively small so if is going to be hard for you to generate any significant sales. Grow the portfolio and the sales will come.
