28 photos and $10.00 later.

posted on 5th of april, 2011

So I am still "kinda" new and now have only 28 photos online and have made just over $10.00 so far. I really enjoy this even though I have limited time to work on it but I feel like DT is one of the best if not the Best Stock agency. I have 1 2nd level photo...........I still get a lot of rejections though and try to learn from them...only a 43% AR :-(. It used to bother me but you can not take it personal...you HAVE to use those rejections as a learning experience.........so...although rejections are not what we want they are good in a way...especially for us newbies!!

My goal is to get at least 50 photos on DT in the next few weeks. Just wanted to share.
Please look at my "small" portfolio...I would love your opinions!

Thanks and good luck to all!

Enjoy? Or was that meant to read addictive! Yep, it is fun, trying to get material accepted, and guessing what is needed..... But, frustrating when you have to wait seven days to resubmit an image with a minor issue preventing it going up first time.

I found one of my photos on the web!! And what a strange article!

So I accidentally found one of my stock photos on a website while trying to identify a spider. I did a google image search and....well there it was.

But what I found amusing was the article!
Take a look!

Side note!
And by the way is there a way to know if they are legally using my photo?

Hi Tangi...Yes I saw it was not DT, but still excited to see one of my photos out there and DT is the agency I am most involved with as far as blogs and discussions go........hopefully going to go exclusive in the near future with DT. Thanks for the post.

:) If you check the comments, the author of the article names the source of the photo and it is not Dreamstime. :) The usage is legit - the file is meant to illustrate and article and the standard license is required. There is nothing sensitive involved here as far as your "model" is concerned. I am not sure about the other agency's terms but perhaps a credit line should have been added.
