I finally have 500 images online. Initially the goal was to have it on by Xmas 2011, but had to extend the deadline by 6 months. Now aiming for 750 by December.
I find the only way to really get lots of images up is to have a daily upload schedule. The now and agains just don't work. I submit to 12 agencies, (DT is my fav), so it takes good co-ordination to try and spread my uploads properly.
Currently I'm sitting on more than 1000 unedited images that still needs to be finished, nevermind about 500 that I have finished and still needs to be uploaded.
@Fotosenmeer - thank you for the advice. I have found that different images sell differently across the platforms. My top sellers at DT doesn't even sell at others and vice versa. I will however keep a look-out for this cherry-picking!
After 3 years of spreading the uploads, I have finally starting seeing the returns, BUT, I have a top 5 that I keep uploading at, and the others is less frequent and intense.
1st, My congratulations with achieving youw milestone.
2nd, I read about you uploading to 12 agencies.
I hope you are aware that many customers are cherry picking. Especially when a customer needs an extended license. At least 2 agencies (123xx and Fxtxlxx) are known for giving away the extended license for free. Happy to see that Dreamstime is not among them. Have read at Microstock Diaries (a contributor user group) and be aware that 12 agencies is a lot to manage without giving you work away for almost nothing.
I started with 12 agencies but came to the conclusion that it is almost impossible to handle.
I skipped a few and upload to the remaining 5 agencies.
DT is one of the agencies wich gives a fair share to the contributor.
