So the last two weeks a lot of pictures I uploaded were rejected!!
Reason?"There are visible dust, stains, and/or scratches from the scanning process, or abnormal spots on your image generated by dust on the camera sensor and/or stains/dust on the camera lens. Please fix the problem and resubmit." The last two weeks appeared to me very often the reason for rejecting this message!
I never realized that silk handkerchief elastic caught on lens will ultimately cause to a pile of rejected images! Not stay without lens cap!! So, tomorrow morning I will run to the store and I'll buy LENS CAP and of course I'll watch every time to wipe my LENS with carefully! So take care and and when you lose lens cap, shall immediately go and buy another...:)
Years ago back in the days of film I lost my lens cap in the haunted house at Disneyworld. I went to the lost and found without much hope and they had boxes of them. Told me to just grab one that fit and I was on my way :)
I always put my lens cap in my right front pocket when I'm shooting so I know where it is when I'm done, but they can get knocked off your lens so easily. A soft silk hankerchief will not protect your lens - I hope you have a filter on it, since you may need to replace that if it has become scratched. Scratch the lens itself and it'll be a nightmare having to use PS to fix every photo you take from now on!
I hate lens caps, stopped using them long time ago. got sick of wasting time taking them on/off constantly. just keep the lens hood on and that protects the glass from getting scratched. Clean with a microfibre cloth as required. never had a problem yet.
