Sale number 200 !..

posted on 9th of january, 2013

With this sold image my sales have reached 200!

It was taken in the village of Santa Gertrudis, located in the hinterland of the island of Ibiza. The image falls into a category of pictures very simple, but I think very effective because they create in the viewer the concept of a potential desire. When I took this picture I thought it would be nice for me to be sitting there on one of the two chairs and enjoy the walking below. I wonder if the buyer thought the same thing!

Many thanks to the buyer of my image number 200!

And many thanks to DT also, which allows us to capitalize on our passion for photography even in an period of economic recession.

Tradition of medieval nativity scenes

posted on 23rd of january, 2013

It is a tradition in the small towns and villages of Italy to organize nativity scenes during the Christmas until January 6, the day of Epiphany.

These nativities are often in "medieval style". In the village of Canale Monterano, about 50 km north of Rome, this year the nativity scene has been prepared within the ruins of the homonymous old medieval town.
The atmosphere was very impressive, the costumes of the figures very beautiful, and the old church next to the village, illuminated with various colors, served as the backdrop to this event reminiscent of the birth of Jesus.

About me

Since I was a boy, I always had a passion for photography. In the 70's I loved spend so much time in the photographic development laboratory to experiment with film and photographic papers of various kinds. I am a researcher in physics and computer science and in my work I have also acquired expertise in digital imaging. I also conducted courses in this area. In Italy I am a member of an association that promotes the photographic work not for profit.
