Environmental Africa - The Good and The Bad

I recently visited Nigeria - a rarely trodden part of the world (with the fear of kidnapping and a desperate shortage of infrastructure amongst only a few of the obstacles laid to bare). Whilst in an extremely remote part of the country - where some independent rain forest conservation effort is taking place in an attempt to salvage what historically was one of the most biodiverse environments on the planet - I came across a small number of monkeys.

These Eyes were opportunistically captured around the Afi mountain of these rain forests and attempt to tell the story of a baby "Mandrill" monkey - which belongs to a small colony of the highly endangered Mandrillus leucophaeus (native to the Cross River southeastern region of this part of the African sub-continent).

@ Alvera... At a time dinosaur were around. Imaging them still been around considering the present human population. I think the world will heal itself. There is no cause of alarm.

First Two Downloads - And On The Same Day!!!

© Edosaodaro (Help) After a long hard struggle, I came close to giving up stock photography (altogether) before I got my first acceptance - "Slovenian Autumn Greens" (photo top left "from Slovenia") - late last November. However, I soon realised that - even after that major victory - the only way to progress was to put the effort in to begin to grasp the ideological shift stock photography required.

Almost a year after joining Dreamtime, it is hard to describe how over joyed I was to record my first two downloads - and both on the same day (photos bottom left "from Beijing China" and right "first downloaded image from Nigeria Africa")!!!...

I can now confidently say that, with hard work and persistent commitment to a dream, the seemingly impossible...
