After 2 years, 7 months and 9 days I reached the 10.000$. Now What?... I started submitting in a lucky day of September 13th and I got my first sale after 15 days….. 0.99 cents. …. For the rest of 9999.01 I did the following:
Upload every photo from my hard drive…. And got lots of rejections… sounds familiar? Rookie mistake.
Step two: research picture sales and take notes. After that: learn how to cook and shot photos. The biggest challenge here was not how to take photos of fresh and amazing culinary delight that I just prepared but to stop myself from eating everything before the photo session :-). ...
I wanted to let you know I used your photo (Abraham Lincoln memorial) in my new children’s book ‘Look Up’ recently out on Amazon. I thank you for your contribution to the book. I purchased the royalty-free photo through a subscription with Dreamstime. I wanted to send each photographer a copy of the book displaying their work but unfortunately with 71 photos used it is financially impossible for me to do so at this time. But I do not want your work to go unrecognized so I hope the book will bring people to Dreamstime to see the wonderful photos available there.
You can see more about ‘Look Up’ on my webpage
I hope it means as much to you as it does to me seeing your photo in the book and that you or someone you know will enjoy it!
