Am I the only photographer who suffers from lens stress/envy/anxiety? I'm slowly nearing the 100 photos landmark with dreamstime and up until recently have made do with one lens; the tamron 17 -50 f2.8 (non IS) which has served me very well.
I have always known I would need to get some kind of telephoto as a logical next step and finally I went for a canon EF 70 - 300 a couple of months ago. It has taken me several years of indecision and procrastination to take this step, mainly because I couldn't decide between telephoto or some kind of superzoom and couldn't face making the wrong choice.
Here are a few shots taken on some recent travels with my new telephoto.
I was thinking some f4 or f2.8 constant aperture fast lens would be better for a telephoto. Else will be accessories like monopod to stabilize your cam and lens assembly. Keep shooting. The less you think about hardware, the more you will concentrate on getting the shots you want and going out there to shoot.
